Upon arrival at this hotel, our reservations were mixed up; we ended up having to reserve another room. We were charged a $25 resort fee per room. The elevators are nauseating. The hallways leading to rooms have paint peeling, carpet coming up, and some sort of strange debris hanging from the ceiling. On the 17th floor we could easily hear music from one of the lower floors and make out the songs. From the 17th floor we could see the tops of establishments on other floors. The area was just filthy. The bathroom in our room was interesting. The toilet seat was wet and there was a hair on the soap dish. The shower leaked like no other. The room appeared to have been cleaned recently; but not well. There was a security guard on the night shift who was pretty excited about his job. We lovingly referred to him as Paul Blart as he thought what he had to say was the most important thing in the world. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. There are better rooms for less money just across town. If you are looking for a “Vegas Hotel and Casino” experience, stay at a different or updated hotel. The Luxor is lacking.

3 of my friends and I rented 2 rooms and stayed at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas over the weekend of November 13th. I would have to say that this hotel is not what we expected. It was very outdated, noisy and the beds were horrible, along with old bedding. The showers in both rooms leaked all over the bathroom floor, so we had to use towels to catch the running water. The room service was very expensive and the variety of late night dining was VERY limited in the Hotel/Casino. The price to stay at this hotel is absolutely not worth it, your better off to stay at the Excalibur next door for half the price. The hotel also charges a “resort fee” that you do not have the option to purchase, they make you pay $25.00 per night per room for access to the pools, and a newspaper and 2 bottles of water. You should have the option to pay this as in November we were not using the pools!
